The season started yesterday and we got straight out for a quick ski in Val Thorens. Not all the pistes are open yet as the lift company is allowing the snow to build up across the resort. Some good skiing to be had already as you can see from the photo below. It's got really cold and dry here over the last few days - about -6 to -10 degrees in Val Thorens village, and colder out on the mountain. Good news for this time of year as it will help to build up a harder base for the main part of the season!
